Rachel’s story

“I married for love, and our families disowned us. Thanks to ACCESS I could work in the school and tutor my children. There was no one else to take care of them. I am so happy and so proud that they have a good education”.

Rachel has worked as a teacher at ACCESS for 19 years. As a local mother with children attending Benjamin Nursery school, she was employed to help provide for her family. Not only has she gained essential income, her children have received an education, she’s had a career she loves and is a vital member of the ACCESS community. Today one of her children is an engineer, and the other is studying for an MSc in Psychology.

She has not only found happiness and pride in her work but has also ensured a brilliant future for the next generation. The decision to step back from her work was a sacrifice for her family, but it has led her to a happy and meaningful life.
